UETTDRRF06 – Perform rescue from a live LV panel

The program provides participants with the skills and knowledge to perform the function of the rescue person in a low voltage incident.

Course Description
The program provides participants with the skills and knowledge to identify an emergency situation and perform a simulated rescue of a victim of a low voltage incident.
As a result of this program, participants will be able to:
• Prepare to operate as a rescuer while Live electrical work is being conducted
• Recognise an emergency situation
• Carry out rescue from live LV panel
• Complete LV incident report

RIIWHS202D – Enter and work in confined spaces

The purpose of this unit of competency is to alert maintenance workers, construction workers or those in the maritime industry of the dangers of woring in on or near a confined space and where the worker;
– is likely to enter a confined space,
– is intending to enter a confined space
– inadvertently enters a confined space
– is operating as a standby for entry persons

Candidates will be empowered by this course and be equipped with skills and knowledge to undertake many facets of work involving confined spaces.
As a result of this program, candidates will be able to:
– access, interpret and apply technical and safety information for entering and working in confined spaces
– assess hazards and risk associated with entering and working in confined spaces and implementing controls
– select, inspect, donn, doff and caring for PPE
– identify the most appropriate safety systems for entering and conduct work in confined spaces
– perform a simulated safe entry into a confined space

RIIWHS204D – Work Safely at Heights

The purpose of the unit of competency is to alert maintenance workers, construction workers or those in the maritime industry to the risks associated with a fall from one level to another that is reasonably likely to cause injury to the worker.
This includes circumstances in which the worker is:
• in or on plant or a structure that is at an elevated level
• in or on plant that is being used to gain access to an elevated level
• in the vicinity of an opening through which a person could fall
• in the vicinity of an edge over which a person could fall
• on or in the vicinity of a surface through which a person could fall
• on or near the vicinity of a slippery, sloping or unstable surface

Participants will be empowered by this course and be equipped with skills and knowledge to undertake many facets of working where there is a risk of a fall.
As a result of this program, participants will be able to:
• access, interpret and apply technical and safety information for working at heights
• assess hazards and risk associated with working at heights and implement control methods
• select, inspect, donn, doff and caring for PPE
• identify the most appropriate safety systems for working at heights
• correctly fitting, adjusting and anchor fall protection systems
• perform simulated tasks safely at heights
• dismantle, remove, inspect safety systems
• Use 4:1 rope rescue equipment
