Purpose:

The program provides participants with the skills and knowledge to perform the function of the rescue person in a low voltage incident.

Course Name:UETTDRRF06 - Perform rescue from a live LV panel
Course Code:UETTDRRF06
Course Duration:The program is delivered over three and one half hours (3.5) and is comprised of theory and practical sessions. The program culminates with a practical assessment activity and theory assessment.
Training Plans: Perform rescue from a live LV panel
Description:

Course Description
The program provides participants with the skills and knowledge to identify an emergency situation and perform a simulated rescue of a victim of a low voltage incident.
As a result of this program, participants will be able to:
• Prepare to operate as a rescuer while Live electrical work is being conducted
• Recognise an emergency situation
• Carry out rescue from live LV panel
• Complete LV incident report

Assessment:

Candidates must succefully complete all assessment activties in order to assessed as competent.
The assessment for LVR is to be conducted using a combination of written theoretical assessment and practical assessment during simulated workbased scenarios. The following assessment methods are to be applied to collect the required assessment evidence in accordance with training package requirements:
Performance Assessment
The candidate will be required to demonstrate their practical skills set integrated with their knowledge during practical assessment activities. These activities are sourced from varying equipment inspection, pre operational site checks, equipment donning and doffing and also fault finding and reporting. Trainers will regularly challenge test candidates throughout the course on varying equipment and mark their practical checklist accordingly.

Written Theory Assessment
The candidate will be required to satisfactorily complete theory assessment comprising 13 short answer & multiple-choice questions. These will be marked on the spot in order to provide the candidate with immediate feedback and to allow them to identify areas for further development.
